We are thrilled to share that our St. Michael's School won the Regional Academic Junior High Decathlon Championship held at St. Augustine High School on March 7. Competing against 36 other teams in the Diocese, our students fought hard in every event and demonstrated incredible determination, focus, and teamwork throughout the competition. Through countless hours of study and preparation, they supported one another, persevered through challenges, and approached every event with humility and determination. We are especially proud of the way they represented not only our school, but also our parish community, carrying themselves with integrity, gratitude, and joy.
Inspired by the witness of St. Francis of Assisi and St. Clare of Assisi, the team also embraced service as part of their journey. Their service project reflected the Franciscan call to generosity and care for others, reminding us that the gifts God gives us—our minds, talents, and opportunities to study—are meant to be used in service of the world.
We are incredibly proud of these students and grateful to the families, teachers, and supporters who encouraged them along the way. This victory is a celebration for our entire community!
Please keep our students in your prayers as they continue their journey and prepare to compete at Nationals on Friday, March 20.
