Closing Pandora's Box

A Watershed Moment
To help our students learn about their faith, grow academically, and become good citizens, we have created a list of Schoolwide Learning Expectations (see below) to assist them in understanding how to achieve these goals. Each week, teachers explain one of the SLEs and talk about how they can demonstrate mastery of this skill. The Millennial Saint
Yesterday, Pope Leo XIV canonized Carlo Acutis as the first millennial saint. Carlo, who died at age 15 from leukemia in 2006, is most specially known for his devotion to the Eucharist, as is depicted in the image of the monstrance above.

Habemus Papam
Habemus Papam! We have a Pope. Last Thursday, as white smoke began billowing from the smokestack above St. Peter’s Basilica, we made the announcement for all teachers to project the live feed so our students could watch history unfold. Each classroom had adopted a Cardinal Elector for whom to pray throughout the Conclave, and they now eagerly awaited the name to be announced.
