The old adage, “All things come to those who wait,” is certainly apropos for us today. After two years of planning, preparation, and execution, our South Campus Field Project is nearly complete.

Welcome back to another wonderful school year. As many of you will recall, in my former role as Principal, I would use this forum to share with you perceptions on our Mission, reflections on our faith, insights in education, and resources regarding social and emotional development, as well as highlight excellence in action at St. Michael’s School.

As a child, I loved to sing, but, unfortunately, I could not sing in tune, much to the chagrin of my father. To remedy the problem, he decided to have me start taking piano lessons when I was seven.

Last Thursday, as white smoke began billowing from the smokestack above St. Peter’s Basilica, we made the announcement for all teachers to project the live feed so our students could watch history unfold. Each classroom had adopted a Cardinal Elector for whom to pray throughout the Conclave, and they now eagerly awaited the name to be announced.

As we wind down to the end of 2024-2025, it is important to look back at the start of the school year and reflect on how much growth your child/ren have experienced. They grew not only physically – likely everyone grew taller and stronger, but they also grew socially, emotionally, spiritually, morally, and intellectually.

On Friday, May 2, 2025, St. Michael’s School will honor our departed Pope, Francis, at a special Memorial Mass, and we invite you to join us in this celebration.
